First Batch Approvals Coming Soon for Deferred Action For Childhood Arrivals

infoYu, South & Associates learned through American Immigration Lawyers' Association (AILA) that the USCIS has just announced that the adjudication of the requests for Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals (DACA) has started and the first batch of such approvals are forthcoming in the next few days!

Deferred Action For Childhood Arrivals Not Well Received By Texas Governor

infoThis special “Deferred Action For Childhood Arrivals” immigration program what Texas Gov. Rick Perry called a “slap in the face to the rule of law” went into effect last week on Aug. 15, 2012, and many young undocumented immigrants are expected to benefit from the discretionary adjudication program including employment authorization (work permit) in the next 2 years. Today, Gov. Perry publicized his advice to the state agencies that “Texas' policies on persons in the country illegally remain unchanged.”

Good News for Young Illegal Immigrants: Childhood Arrival Deferred Action Effective In One Week!

infoOn June 15, US Secretary of Homeland Security Janet Napolitano issued a “Memorandum” to the directors of  the US Immigration and Customs Enforcement agency (ICE), instructing the agency to exercise broader “prosecutorial discretion” towards certain group of unlawful immigrants during the immigration law enforcement by the agency.

Latest Statistics on EB-5 Including Regional Centers by USCIS as of May 1, 2012

infoUSCIS has just released its latest EB-5 statistics provided for a 5/1/12 stakeholder engagement, including information on service-wide receipts, approvals, and denials of I-526s and I-829s, as well as the number of approved EB-5 Regional Centers by fiscal year and I-924 receipts, approvals, and denials by fiscal year.

Latest H-1B Cap Count by USCIS as Announced April 30, 2012

infoYu, South & Associates just learned yesterday that according to the latest official count as of April 27, 2012, USCIS has received or approved 29,200 new cap subject H-1B filings out of the total of 65,000 regular H-1B annual cap for the fiscal year 2013.
