Peggy Chu serves as a Senior Chinese Assistant to the Firm. Her primary job responsibilities concentrate on the coordination and support of Firm's communication and relationship with the local Chinese communities and assistting the attorneys and partners of the Firm in all cases involving Chinese speaking clients from Taiwan, Mainland China, Hongkong and other parts of the world.
As an early immigrant from Taiwan many years ago, Peggy is very fluent bilingual in both Chinese and English, with a bachelor's degree in Business Journalism (1976) from Ming Chuan University in Taipei, Taiwan.
Prior to joining the Firm, Peggy had over 20 years of continuous employment in a similar position with another law firm in the Dallas area. Peggy's legal assistant expertise over the past 20 years includes the following areas:
- All immigration cases, especially family based case types;
- Personal injury cases, especially auto accident related cases;
- Family law cases, including marriage, divorce and adoption cases; and,
- Certain crminal matters.
In addition to her law firm background and profession, Peggy is also a civic activist and enjoys a very respectful reputation among the local Chinese communities, primarily thanks to her very pleasant outgoing personality and always-ready-to-help attitute, on top of her enthusiastic involvement and decades of devoted volunteering services in the public affairs and interests of the local Chinese communities.
Peggy is the current member on the Board of Directors of both Taiwanese Chamber of Commerce of Dallas/Fort Worth since 2008 and Dallas Chinese Community Center since 2006. She is also the past member on the board of directors of Greater Dallas Asian American Chamber of Commerce (2000~2007) and Dallas Asian American Youth Orchestra (2003~2009).
