The United States Senate has passed a sweeping spending package that allocates billions of dollars to expand deportation operations, build new detention facilities, and significantly increase the staffing levels of Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE). The measure passed largely along party lines.

These changes may have wide-ranging implications for immigrants currently in removal proceedings, those with pending applications, and undocumented individuals throughout the country. We encourage all affected clients to consult with an attorney to understand how this may affect their case.
