Form I-485 is used to apply for "adjustment of status" or the last step toward the final permanent residence or "green card" based on either employment offer or family relationship or asylum and other eligibilities. Therefore, it is important that you explain to us the nature of your case and the ground of the applcation. If your case has been pending for a long time, please explain to us if such a delay is the result of FBI fingerprint or security background check or any other reasons so that we can better assist you. If you have a pending case with a receipt number please also provide it.
