Prior to joining Yu, South & Associates, Johnny had exposure to various firms and sectors. While attending law school, Johnny clerked at Houston-based Law Firm of Purdue, Brandon, Fielder, Collin, and Motts analyzing and researching issues relating to Ad Valorum taxes. After law school Johnny joined another Houston law firm and practiced primarily on real estate related matters including construction contracts, foreclosures, leases, and property management contracts. With a strong interest in the international business and the rapid economic expansion and growth in China in particular, Johnny was drawn into the opportunities available in Asia. He then joined a fortune 500 company as the Regional Manager for Asia Pacific based out of the vibrant city of Shanghai, China. Through his years in Asia, Johnny was able to refine his business acumen and make numerous viable contacts throughout the region. He recently returned to the US, after a 4-year tour as business manager in China, to focus on his legal profession with a concentration on the international business related US immigration law practice and is now the attorney concentrating on China related EB-5 (investment immigration or what is known as “million-dollar green card”), alien of extraordinary ability and PERM cases at Yu, South & Associates. Johnny was an immigrant himself at a very young age and still speaks perfect Mandarin Chinese. |
